National Key Points Act - 1980 - Full List

Right2Know and South African History Archive had amazing success this week when the full list of areas protected under the National Key Points Act was finally revealed.

Since 1980, when the act was introduced, many locations of national interest have been excluded from media freedom and could not be legally photographed.

Unfortunately this list has never before been available, with many individuals being harassed for being in supposedly photo restricted areas.

But thanks to the groups above, the full list is now freely available and no longer can places be arbitrarily lumped under this act for convenience purposes.

The entire photographic community owe them a great deal!

You can find the full lists here at R2K or here at SAHA. Share it far and wide.
