Culminated in effective documentation and handover when the company was acquired in late 2020.

I still provide some support to the new owners as required.

Strong emphasis on business process automation, verification of existing systems, integration and migrations.

Responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of the analysis, design, development, testing, enhancement, maintenance, documentation, administration and support of software applications that facilitate and aid the Test Environment team in the governance, management and control of all Test Environments. Included regularly feeding back to stakeholders on progress, delays and completion dates. Analysing and improving process and software formed a key part of the role.

Primarily focused on Management and Executive information systems, but also included some operational and financial management applications. The team consisted of between two and three senior developers as well as two junior developers. Interns and students from the innovation hub also formed part of this team during this period.

SAPhari Project

Responsible for technical analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation and initial support during stabilization period of interfaces between legacy systems and the SAP ERP. Included temporary as well as permanent interfaces, all data purification, translation and migration from legacy system to SAP.

Responsible for the design, development, enhancement, testing, documentation and implementation of software applications as per a signed off business case and specification. Participation in the development of user training material.

Application Support Analyst
June 2005 – August 2006

Responsible for the support of in-house and vendor applications as well as co-ordination of vendor based upgrades and enhancements. Participation in disaster recovery processes and onsite user assistance as required. 24/7 support for mission critical systems. Supported a total of 19 enterprise systems during this period, several of which were rated mission critical.
